You don’t need any special qualifications to make a massive difference in someone’s life. Some of our best support workers had very little qualifications prior to coming to this field. There is one thing they all have though, and that is passion. Passion for life, passion for making a difference. One of the most rewarding things about being a support worker is seeing your efforts making an impact on someone’s life for the better.
Example:
A new member of staff come from an academic background and worked in the corporate world. He became disillusioned with the cutthroat world of selling and the constant demands for ever-increasing targets to be met. Although the pay was ok, the pressure was constant and he felt a lack of human empathy. Questioning his life goals he felt a change was needed to balance himself and a need to make a difference. He joined Magic Life UK with no social care qualifications but had a lot of life skills. It’s was clear from the start he had that special touch with people. Connecting with them on a human level. Respecting their place in society and listening to their needs. His calmness and ability to build confidence has seen him make a real difference in the lives of people he works with and in his own life.
Who we look after?
Magic Life Uk offers support for many diagnoses and tailor-make care packages for every individual. Some people will require a lot of assistance, physically and mentally. Others will require guidance and encouragement.
Who we are looking for?
As a support worker/project manager, you will require many different skills, but one of the most important skill is the willingness to make a difference. leadership and a strong moral compass. The rest comes in time.
